One, open the pith to remove humus
 
Root canal treatment must remove the humus before opening the pulp, and then switch to another new bur (crack drill or emery bur can be used, but the emery bur has less vibration when opening the pulp, and the opening is stable) to enter the medullary cavity. After penetrating the medullary cavity, change the high-speed ball drill to lift the top, and the top must be fully lifted, so that the bottom of the whole medullary chamber can be seen clearly, and then use a split drill or emery bur to trim the medullary wall.
 
The quality control standards for this step are:
 
①Remove the net humus and original fillings.
 
②Remove the top of the marrow and see the anatomical structure of the whole marrow base.
 
③The pulp wall and root canal wall are continuous and smooth.
 
④There is no neck step, no excessive cutting of pulp wall and pulp bottom.
 
2. Medullary cavity preparation (preparation of the upper section of the root canal crown)
 
This step actually includes the preparation of the crown section, the dredging of the root canal and the determination of the working length. We generally use three methods for preparing the medullary cavity: standard method, gradual retreat method, and coronal deep method. No matter which method is used, we recommend that the preparation of the crown canal should be the first step of the preparation of the root canal. The following two methods are recommended for the preparation of the crown:
 
①10#k set up to dredge the root canal (the maximum reachable length of 10# can be dredged and not exceed the working length), 15#k set up to prepare the length of the dredged root canal, GG drill 1#2#3# to prepare the upper section of the root canal (There is no adoption of protaper).
 
②The initial preparations of 10#k set and 15# are the same as above, and then use SX, S1 to open the upper section of the root canal (this method is used with protaper, which is less difficult and not easy to form steps). After opening the upper section of the root canal, use 10#k set (of course) (It's a different story for thick root canals)
